Detailed Care Instructions

Daily Care

Your watch is designed for everyday wear, but a few simple habits will keep it looking pristine:

  • Wipe daily: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to remove fingerprints, oils, and dust from the case and crystal.
  • Avoid chemicals: Remove your watch before applying perfume, lotions, or cleaning products.
  • Check the crown: Ensure the crown is fully pushed in or screwed down before water exposure.

Water Resistance

Understanding your watch's water resistance rating:

50M / 5ATM

Splash resistant. Safe for rain and hand washing. Not for swimming.

100M / 10ATM

Suitable for swimming and snorkeling. Not for diving.

200M / 20ATM

Professional diving watch. Suitable for all water activities.

⚠️ Important: Never operate the crown or pushers underwater. Hot water (showers, saunas) can damage seals. Have water resistance tested annually.

Strap & Bracelet Care

Leather Straps

  • Keep away from water – leather absorbs moisture and can deteriorate
  • Allow to air dry if it gets wet – never use heat
  • Apply leather conditioner every 6 months to prevent cracking
  • Rotate between straps to extend lifespan

Steel Bracelets

  • Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush
  • Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent water spots
  • Use a toothpick to remove debris from links

Rubber/Silicone Straps

  • Rinse with fresh water after saltwater exposure
  • Clean with mild soap and water
  • Keep away from oils and solvents

Movement Care

Your TIMEBUILT features a Seiko NH35A automatic movement. Here's how to keep it running accurately:

Automatic Winding

  • • Wear daily for optimal power reserve
  • • Manual wind 20-30 turns if unworn for 2+ days
  • • Power reserve: approximately 41 hours

Accuracy

  • • Expected accuracy: -20/+40 seconds per day
  • • Position affects accuracy (dial up vs crown up)
  • • Magnetization can cause timing issues

Tip: Keep your watch away from magnets (phones, tablets, magnetic clasps). If your watch becomes magnetized, we can demagnetize it for free.

Proper Storage

When not wearing your watch:

  • Use the original box: It provides protection from dust, moisture, and impacts.
  • Watch winder (optional): Keeps automatic watches running when not worn. Set to 650-800 TPD.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures: Store between 5°C and 35°C (41°F - 95°F).
  • Keep separate: Don't store watches touching each other to prevent scratches.
